In an area with high levels of unemployment, these women have been given a valuable employment opportunity and a chance to practice the time-honoured custom of hand-stitching.
In a time when many such communities are crumbling, this little village has remained closely knit, with a sense of brotherhood and culture that is the essence of their very existence. The tribal chief has little doubt over the role Tsonga has played in his tribe's rejuvenation, and believes the employment offered has truly been a blessing from the ancestors.
