The basis therefore is diverse collections for ladies and men, showing Rohde's own line and concentrating on the consumer's interest. The aim is to translate international trends to a good fitting comfortable form. The use of modern technology will drive Rohde's further expansion. History: In 1947 the first Rohde plant was built in Schwalmstadt. During the 1960's Rohde achieve great success. The company would open four new factories throughout Germany. In 1975 Rohde would open its first production facility in Portugal. In 1986 Rohde would move it's corporate headquarters to Schwalmstadt Germany. Rohde would continue to achieve growth and success during the 1980's. In 1988 would mark the beginning of robotized sole production in Rohde factories. Rohde's expansion would continue in the 1990's. A second facility would open in Portugal. Further technological advancement would emerge at the Rohde factories, and production facilities, to improve the quality of the Rohde products. 1997 would mark the 50th anniversary of the Rohde line. By 2004 Rohde would be acknowledged as one of the most respected shoe companies in the world.
